The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and will close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students nsfas status check who wish to study in any of the public universities and my nsfas TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
